A place to bring the whole medicines picture together
Questions about medicines do not always fit neatly into one appointment. A new prescription may sit beside long-standing treatment, products bought from a pharmacy and advice received after a hospital stay. MedReview brings the information you provide into a structured review and a written letter.
The service can consider possible interactions, monitoring questions and, depending on the package, unwanted effects, treatment burden and topics to discuss with your prescriber. A report helps organise those conversations. It cannot establish that every concern has been identified or that a particular medicine caused a symptom.
We do not sell or prescribe medicines. The four packages have a defined scope and one-off prices. Read the inclusions and exclusions before deciding whether a private review answers your question.
Clinical judgement belongs to the pharmacist
Every released review letter is checked and signed by a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). The letter carries their name and registration number so you can identify the professional responsible for it. You can check an individual pharmacist’s registration through the GPhC website (opens in a new tab).
The pharmacist decides which findings belong in your report, what needs clarification and where the information is not sufficient for advice. Their professional registration is not a claim that the GPhC endorses MedReview or accredits the website.
The review depends on accurate, current information. We do not automatically have access to your GP record, blood-test results, diagnoses, allergies or dispensing history. Tell us what is missing and include relevant dates rather than assuming that a reviewer can see another service’s records.
Technology supports the work; it does not sign the report
Questionnaires and automated checks help organise the medicines information and highlight possible issues for review. AI can help prepare a draft letter. That draft is not a released clinical recommendation: the pharmacist checks the findings and signs the final report.
The privacy notice explains the information used, the providers involved, retention and your rights. In particular, it describes the AI provider and how names are pseudonymised before that processing. Pseudonymisation does not mean that all health information becomes anonymous.
Our public Insights articles serve a different purpose. They are general education, not a review of your records. Their publication and update dates do not indicate that a pharmacist has assessed your situation. The editorial policy explains that distinction.
Your usual care team stays involved
MedReview is designed for adults in the United Kingdom and works alongside existing care. Take the report to your GP, prescriber or usual pharmacist to discuss what applies to you. They may have information that was not available during the review and will decide whether treatment or monitoring should change.
Private care is optional. You can ask your GP practice or usual pharmacist what medicines support is available through the NHS. The NHS explains how pharmacies can help with medicine questions (opens in a new tab). Do not delay urgent assessment while waiting for a routine report.
